Aidiladha 2008

Some pictures taken during Aidiladha 2008 this year. This time, damia, papa and mama celebrate it at perak with tok ayah and mak tok. Pak long, mak long, afeef, pak cik and acu also at kampung that time.
We didn't buy any new clothes for this time. Enough for us to wear last aidilfitri clothes. Still new right? And damia also can wear her baju kurung. Now it fit her perfectly.

Papa got Addicted!!

Since having portable studio lighting at home, papa become addicted. Wanna take lots of damia pics. For the time being, papa just have time to take damia pictures after office hour when all of us at home. And similar this time, papa test model is damia. Mama session will start soon, sebab kena tunggu mama make-up dulu, if not she dun wanna take a picture.. Hehehhehe...
Actually it is hard to take pictures of small baby like damia. At this age (10++ month), they are so active, and it is hard to let the stay still and pose to the camera. I have some tips to solve it out.
First we can use some props. This will distract them and let them focus on one thing. This resulting them to stay at one position for a quite time. So take this chance to get their picture. This will last for about 30 seconds before they start to get bored. Be fast. But using this techniques, we will get a pictures will lack of eyes contact with our baby. For me this is not a good picture, but it still acceptable.
So for my approach, i always get ready with my camera. And mama will try to attract damia by standing behind papa and do anything to get damia response. When damia look at mama, automatically her eyes will directly contact with papa's camera and then SNAP SNAP... wallaaaa, papa got damia pics. Since papa and mama can't ask damia to do any pose directly, so papa have to capture anything from damia motion. This is what papa call, wait and shoot. Be ready to push shutter by locking focus on subject. Miss focus will make the picture look blur and not sharp.
Taking babies pic, in papa opinion no need to have any fancy technique such as panning, zooming, rear flash etc. Just simple direct shoot, simple background and the most important thing, papa can capture damia's pics. Thats the important part.

Damia Model Shoot

Papa just tried using his flash to configure the correct flash power for the correct exposure. Using studio umbrella to bounce the flash, the lighting will be diffuse and the shadow will be softer compare to direct flash. Papa prefer this type of setting for studio shoot style. Maybe later on papa wanna buy a softbox. Softbox diffuse light more efficient compare to umbrella.
Since the only subject available at that time just Damia, so Damia has to be papa's victim. Mama still cooking at the kitchen, so mama can't be a model for this shootout, and mama also tak mandi lagi.. bucuuukkkk....
Later in papa buying list, to buy a WHITE backdrop. This will imulate the white studio style. Love to take picture with a white background.

Damia at KLCC
|
|
This time, papa brought damia and mama to visit tallest building in Malaysia, Petronas Twin Tower. This is the first time ever damia being there and also mama's 2nd time (ermm or 3rd, can't remember). Dunno why papa didn't put this place as a fav place for us to shop. Maybe the price tag for shopping here is too expensive? (yeahh... i can't afford to buy anything from international boutique). I think the affordable place for us to shop just Isetan and Parkson. Others?... Wait when papa be a millionaire.
When we arrived there, lots of student still wearing school uniform around. Papa took a minutes to figure out why, and suddenly papa realise it's a end year school break. Argghhh... lots of people can make papa headache.
Since mama and papa didn't have plan to buy anything, so we just window shopping. Papa ask mama to have a makeover with MAC since they're putting a promotion aka exhibition of their new product. But mama didn't want it since last time when she tried it, they urged mama to buy their product. And then mama have to buy it.
We went outside to take pictures with the twin towers. This time, papa have pictures too.. Thanks mama.

We at Cyberview Resort, Cyberjaya
|
|
Once again, papa and damia have to follow mama. This time just nearby since mama's meeting at Cyberjaya. So we have chance to stay at Cyberview Resort. Papa heard it is a great and nice place. So we look and see.
We arrive there nearly 7pm. After finish work, we went home and pack some stuffs before drove to the resort. And the important things we need to bring together... damia's BUAI.
After check-in and got our room key, we just straight to our room to take a rest and have a bath (papa belum mandi laa). Papa first impression at the room, wow.. fantastic. Papa think, this is the best hotel/resort room papa have been to. Spacious room, complete facilities.
We stay there for 2 days and 2 nights. Since mama busy attended her meeting and seminar, as usual papa and damia have fun in the room. Papa dunno why damia sooo excited this time. She moved all over the room. Playing and giggling, laughing all the time. Even it is easy to let damia sleep. Maybe damia feel comfortable and like the surrounding.

Papa wanna uploaded some old pictures during this year aidilfitri. Mama always asking why papa still didn't upload that pics. Current situation, server here is very slow. It takes ages to upload a picture. Since papa used Flickr to store pictures and then link it here, ermmm try to think how long it takes for papa to complete it. What can i do, unless... papa subcribe broadband laa kat rumah.. Hehehehe..
These pics taken during mama's friends visit to our rented house. These all are damia's auntie and uncle. But as usual, damia just attracted with uncle only (guys only). And for aunties, sorry laaa.. Next time try to 'bribe' damia with something. She will follow you... Hehehe...

Selamat Hari Raya from US...
|

We think it is not too late to wish all of muslims out there, SELAMAT HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI, MAAF ZAHIR BATIN. This is our first time celebrate hari raya together. We all have fun together, papa, mama and damia. So our colour theme this year is green, eventhough mama's kebaya are slightly a bit out tone... (kan dah kata, kaler tak sama. mama tak nak caya..)
This year, we celebrate first hari raya at melaka. Since last year hari raya, mama celebrate at perak, now her turns to celebrate at melaka. next year, perak... and so on and so on...
Damia so happy laaa since she have two kampungs and two grandparents to celebrate with... Wanna see damia wear her baju kurung? Scroll down...
